Lunesta®

Lunesta (eszopiclone) is a prescription sleeping pill. Deaths are linked to Lunesta®. A new study shows that risk of death may be higher than what was previously thought.

Risk of Death from Lunesta®

The Scripps Clinic –Viterbi Family Sleep Center in La Jolla, California studied the medical records of thousands sleeping pill users. In a 2.5 year period there were 638 deaths of individuals who took sleeping pills, compared to 295 deaths who didn’t take sleeping pills. This indicates a much higher risk of death among sleeping pill users.
