Complex and convoluted cases can have long and meandering paths to their resolution. Both plaintiffs and defendants need to be prepared in that regard and must allocate a dedicated amount of time to attain a successful resolution. The onus lies upon the client to find time for discussions and meetings with the lawyer or attorneys.

That said, we request all our clients to confer with their employers regarding the appropriate provisions in place for employees taking leave due to personal legal obligations. Most professional organizations require their employees to serve a notice or application for leave of absence for attending court dates. One must keep in mind that it is the employer’s discretion whether they would consider court hearings or not.
